Hateful Eight TV spot reveals more about the mysterious plot

We’re a little more than a month out from the eighth Quentin Tarantino film, the appropriately titled Hateful Eight, and with the debut of this exclusive TV spot — which will air Sunday night during The Walking Dead — the events that take place inside Minnie’s Haberdashery are becoming a little clearer.

As established in the previous trailers, a snowstorm strands eight strangers in the isolated general store, and at least one of them is keeping a major secret.

In the new promo, the very helpful voiceover explains that Major Marquis Warren, the character played by Samuel L. Jackson has a theory. He posits that one of the men in the store is working with Daisy Domergue, the woman sentenced to die and held in the custody of John “The Hangman” Ruth (Kurt Russell).

So it’s equal parts Sergio Leone, The Thing, and Agatha Christie’s And Then There Were None? We’re so in.

The Hateful Eight will begin its glorious 70mm roadshow-style limited release on Dec. 25, before going wide on Jan. 8.
