Stephen Colbert: Michael Flatley, Lord of the Dance, takes over 'The Late Show'

Posted on

Stephen Colbert was taken over by the dance on Friday’s The Late Show. During the episode, the host introduced a performance from Michael Flatley’s Lord of the Dance: Dangerous Games.

If his previous shows are any indication, Colbert loves dancing. Aside from performing the occassional jig at his desk, the late-night personality received impromptu lessons from his guests, such as MacArthur Genius grant winner Michelle Dorrance and choreographer Christopher Wheeldon

The Lord of the Dance: Dangerous Games troupe, however, pulled a Magic Mike by tossing their shirts off for the finale pose. Watch the clip below.

Flatley’s latest show, Lord of the Dance: Dangerous Games, opened this past Tuesday and features projections of unicorns, rainbows, and white stallions, according to The New York Times. The Riverdance performer previously announced his plans to retire after the eight-week run of Dangerous Games.
