UPDATE: Tool revealed the first few scheduled dates for their 2016 tour Tuesday. Starting Jan. 9,the band will tour through California, Texas, Oklahoma, Mississippi, Tennessee, Georgia and North Carolina. More dates will be announced soon, per the band’s website.
“Those faint glimpses of TOOL SHOWS that I recently perceived in the scrying mirror can now be considered official. Indeed, something wicked your way comes…THE UNPARALLELED SONIC AND VISUAL EXPERIENCE OF TOOL LIVE,” the band wrote on Facebook. “TICKETS FOR THE FOLLOWING SHOWS GO ON-SALE THIS FRIDAY, NOVEMBER 20th.”

The indie rockers announced an extensive, 2016 U.S. tour — which they’re calling a “sonic and visual extravaganza” — today on the group’s Facebook page. This year, Tool played just one show and since it was a Halloween set, the band dressed up as Led Zeppelin and performed their cover of the band’s “No Quarter.”
