Alanis Morissette, James Corden upgrade Ironic on The Late Late Show

Posted on

What’s more ironic than rain on your wedding day? Alanis Morissette and James Corden can think of a few things.

The Canadian singer’s “Ironic,” which first debuted 20 years ago, received a 2015 update on The Late Late Show on Monday, and nothing feels more true to the times than accidentally swiping left and an A+ tweet with zero favorites. Oh, and this:

“It’s ten thousand male late-night hosts, when all you want is just one woman, seriously,” Morissette says. “Singing the duet of your dreams and then Alanis Morissette shouting at you?” Corden replies.

And isn’t it ironic, don’t you think? See the full performance, complete with red beanies and braids, above.
