American Psycho on Broadway adds more names to cast

Even more famous voices are coming to American PsychoNext to Normal‘s Tony Award winner Alice Ripley and Tony nominee Jennifer Damiano, as well as Heléne Yorke (Masters of Sex), will join the cast of the Broadway musical, alongside the previously announced Benjamin Walker (Blood Bloody Andrew Jackson).

Based on the novel by Bret Easton Ellis and set in the 1980s, American Psycho follows the story of Wall Street banker Patrick Bateman (Walker), who spends his days indulging in Manhattan’s luxuries — and his nights indulging in something more dangerous. Rupert Goold (King Charles III) will direct the musical, with music and lyrics by Tony and Grammy Award winner Duncan Sheik. Roberto Aguirre-Sacasa (Glee) will pen the book while Lynne Page (La Cage Aux Folles) will choreograph.

Following its sold-out world premiere at London’s Almeida Theatre, American Psycho will begin performances on March 24, 2016, at the Gerald Schoenfeld Theatre. An opening date will be announced at a later time.
