Hans Zimmer announces first-ever tour in 2016

Hans Zimmer may be one of the few composers who’s a household name, and his ubiquitous work over the decades — from The Lion King to Gladiator to Inception — has made him a rock star of sorts. 

Now, Zimmer is going on his first-ever tour, playing over a dozen shows next spring throughout Europe. Some of the announced tour dates already have tickets available, while all tickets will go on sale by Nov. 6, according to Zimmer’s official site. The announced dates are:

April 6, 2016 – London, United Kingdom — The SSE Arena, Wembley

April 12, 2016 – Birmingham, United Kingdom — Barclaycard Arena

April 14, 2016 – Brussels, Belgium — Palais 12

April 16, 2016 – Mannheim, Germany — SAP Arena

April 18, 2016 – Hamburg, Germany — Barclaycard Arena

April 20, 2016 – Berlin, Germany — Mercedes-Benz Arena

April 22, 2016 – Oberhausen, Germany — König Pilsener Arena

April 23, 2016 – Paris, France — Palais Des Congres

April 24, 2016 – Paris, France — Palais Des Congres

April 26, 2016 – Munich, Germany — Olympiahalle

April 30, 2016 – Gdansk, Poland — Ergo Arena

May 1, 2016 – Lodz, Poland — Atlas Arena

May 3, 2016 – Krakow, Poland — Tauron Arena

May 5, 2016 – Bratislava, Slovakia — Slovnaft Arena

May 7, 2016 – Prague, Czech Republic — O2 Arena

May 9, 2016 – Zurich, Switzerland — Hallenstadion

May 11, 2016 – Budapest, Hungary — Papp Laszlo Budapest Sportarena

May 13, 2016 – Vienna, Austria — Stadthalle

May 16, 2016 – Sofia, Bulgaria — Arena Armeec Sofia

A teaser for the tour was also released, featuring selections from Angels & Demons, Inception, and Pirates of the Caribbean, following the “Hans Zimmer Revealed” performances at the Hammersmith Apollo in 2014, for which a documentary was also produced.
