Tool covers 'No Quarters' dressed as Led Zeppelin for Halloween

Posted on

Tool only had one scheduled live date for 2015, and the band was sure to make it memorable. They headlined Tempe, Arizona’s Monster Mash on Halloween and performed their cover of Led Zeppelin’s “No Quarter” dressed up as … Led Zeppelin.

It was their first time performing as a full band since March 2014 — frontman Maynard James Keenan told Phoenix New Times that his band “conned” him into the show and that Tool fans were “insufferable people” — and Keenan was in full Robert Plant garb and the rest of the guys wore similar Zep-inspired clothes.

Went as Rupert Plant of Fred Zepplin last night.

Tool’s version of “No Quarter” was included on the band’s Salival limited-edition box set in 2000, though it was originally recorded for the movie Private Parts. See some fan-shot footage of from the show.
