We’ve seen a lot more from Suicide Squad, a film set for release in August 2016, than we have from this December’s Star Wars: The Force Awakens. So any small look is a good look. Enter the new (and improved?) C-3PO in a Star Wars-themed Duracell commercial.
As EW revealed in a batch of images from The Force Awakens, the witty, finicky droid dons a new red arm that has a lot of fans scratching their heads. He sports it again for the commercial alongside his longtime pal R2-D2.
“Sir, I must advise against this,” he says to a young boy going after Stormtroopers. “The odds of survival are 608 to 1.” Watch the commercial below.
While the boy claims his sister is in trouble, she’s no damnsell in distress. Dressed as Daisy Ridley’s Rey, the girl throws back Stormtroopers using the power of The Force. Speculate away as to what that might mean below, or just wait to find out for real when Star Wars: The Force Awakens hits theaters on Dec. 18.
