Next summer marks the hundredth anniversary of the U.S. National Park Service. To celebrate, former First Lady Laura Bush (an honorary co-chairwoman of the anniversary celebration, along with Michelle Obama) is working on a children’s book praising the majesty of the parks. Co-written with daughter Jenna Bush Hager and illustrated by Jacqueline Rogers, Our Great Big Backyard will follow a girl name Jane on her family road trip to the parks, according to the Associated Press.

“I’ve hiked with childhood friends in the parks for years,” Laura said in a statement. “Jenna accompanied me on a float trip through the Grand Canyon and rode a horse for the first time when she was 3 near the Big Bend National Park. I want all children to go outside, play in nature, and explore America’s magnificent sites with their families.”

Our Great Big Backyard is the second children’s book from Laura and Jenna. The first, Read All About It!, encouraged children to find the joy in reading. Our Great Big Backyard is currently scheduled for a May release from HarperCollins. A portion of the Bushes’ advance will be donated to the National Park Foundation, according to the AP report.
