Anna Faris and Chris Pratt might be the embodiment of relationship goals, but really, they’re just like us: trying their best.

“I don’t know what I’m doing as a parent,” Faris confessed when she dropped by Jimmy Kimmel Live! on Wednesday. She has only recently discovered that it’s a bad omen when your child is quiet, showing the audience a few photos of her son Jack’s more destructive tendencies.

Prior to becoming a parent, Faris’ only experience with children was as a 12-year-old babysitter, when she tried to push a Snickers bar on her young charge because her mother told her that “nobody’s allergic to peanuts.” Luckily, the child had more sense than Faris, keeping her from an entirely different life trajectory. “You’d be in prison right now!” host Jimmy Kimmel told Faris. “I would,” she agreed.
