After the full-length trailer for Star Wars: The Force Awakens was premiered on Monday night during a Giants vs. Eagles game on Monday Night Football, the Internet exploded — not only with new theories and trailer analyses, but also with the widespread crashing of ticketing sites selling presale tickets (the film opens Dec. 18).
The trailer is just over two and a half minutes long, and includes a great deal of new footage that was not included in either of the previous teasers. The first, which dropped last November, rocked the world with its tri-bladed lightsaber; this April, the second teaser trailer brought us Harrison Ford saying to his Wookiee copilot, “Chewie, we’re home,” which brought the Episode VII hype to alarming new heights.
Now, YouTube channel ScreenSlam has consolidated the footage from all three to bring us a comprehensive “ultimate trailer.”
Clocking in at just under four minutes, it brings together all the pieces we’ve picked up about Adam Driver’s villainous Kylo Ren, includes every vague hint we’ve been allowed to see regarding the identities of Daisy Ridley’s Rey and John Boyega’s Finn, and lingers on the shots of Harrison Ford’s Han Solo that have had fans frantic with anticipation. Watch it above.
Less than two months to Star Wars: The Force Awakens. Dec. 18 can’t come soon enough.
