Donald Trump will no longer be appearing on Tuesday’s installment of Jimmy Kimmel Live!, EW can confirm.
The GOP candidate abruptly pulled out of his scheduled appearance due to a “political obligation,” a Trump spokeswoman told CNN in a statement, adding that “Mr. Trump is rescheduling his appearance and looks forward to being on the show in the next few weeks.”
According to Politico, Kimmel told Howard Stern on Tuesday that he “wasn’t sure” what happened with Trump, but that he was considering moving up Tracy Morgan’s scheduled Thursday appearance in a last-minute effort to fill Trump’s slot.

Kimmel’s sit-down with Trump would have been the real estate mogul’s third foray into late-night since entering the running for president, having previously interviewed with Stephen Colbert on The Late Show and Jimmy Fallon on The Tonight Show.
The Jimmy Kimmel Live! segment at the Brooklyn Academy of Music was not going to be a traditional interview; as Kimmel told CNN earlier this week, “I’m not interviewing him … It will be in studio, it’ll be live, and it’ll all make perfect sense when you see it.”
