Larry David: Bernie Sanders impression kicks off SNL

Posted on

Many people have noticed the physical and vocal similarities between Democratic presidential candidate hopeful Bernie Sanders and Seinfeld co-creator Larry David, and so too did Saturday Night Live. On Saturday night’s episode, David played Sanders during the cold open about last week’s Democratic debate.

David, who was a writer on SNL from 1984-1985, starred in the sketch alongside fellow surprise guest Alec Baldwin (who played Jim Webb), as well as cast members Kate McKinnon (as Hillary Clinton), Taran Killam (as Martin O’Malley), Kyle Mooney (as Lincoln Chafee), and Jon Rudnitsky (as Anderson Cooper). Watch the pretty, pretty, pretty good impression below.
