Trevor Noah used his platform as host of The Daily Show on Thursday night to take on the controversy surrounding daily fantasy sports.
“Just like meth, these fantasy sites are popular, addictive and getting unwanted attention from the law,” Noah said, before diving into the recent FBI investigation of daily sites like DraftKings and FanDuel.
“This is crazy. Online fantasy sports betting is an unregulated marketplace that seems to be screwing everyday Americas out of their hard-earned money,” Noah said. But it wasn’t all serious: correspondent Jordan Klepper showed up to explain the virtues of daily fantasy sports. “If I can win with all the built in disadvantages, that’s an accomplishment,” he said. “And if I lose, it’s rigged.”
