New York Comic Con: Containment changed how stars look at germs

Posted on

Containment, the latest series from Vampire Diaries and Originals showrunner Julie Plec, tells the story of what happens when a viral outbreak hits Atlanta. As Plec said at the show’s New York Comic Con panel, it’s both a horror movie and a character drama all in one.

Plec, along with stars of thes how Chris Wood, David Gyasi, Claudia Black, and Hanna Mangan Lawrence, stopped by EW’s Comic Con hangout to talk about the show, what they’ve learned about infectious diseases, and what their apocalypse plans would be. (Hint: Plec would call on TVD star Zach Roerig.)

Containment will premiere on the CW in 2016.
