Trevor Noah wrapped up his first week as host of The Daily Show by revealing some striking similarities between Donald Trump and infamous African leaders.
“I know these comments about immigrants were upsetting to some people,” Noah said of Trump’s infamous remarks on immigration. “But, for me, as an African, there’s just something familiar about Trump that makes me feel at home.”
Noah then showed clips of Trump bragging about his fortune, his popularity, and his brain which contains his “certain intellect.”
Noah argued that while Trump might not seem fit to become U.S. president, his commentary closely matched another leader’s words: former Ugandian dictator Idi Amin, who similarly bragged of his popularity, wealth, and having “a very good brain.”
