Weavewold: CW developing series based on Clive Barker novel

The CW has found great success with the horror/fantasy genre, so it’s no surprise that the network is developing a series based on Clive Barker’s novel Weaveworld.

With Barker signed on as an executive producer, the series is set to follow an app designer who teams up with a young pastry chef. But the duo is much more than their job titles might indicate. Specifically, the pastry chef is destined to be guardian of a mythological realm that can be accessed through a portal in an old Savannah mansion — a skill they don’t teach in culinary school.

Together, the two of them fight an epic battle with evil forces who are vying for control of the magical world.

Angela Mancuso is on board to executive produce the series alongside Jack Kenny, who’s serving as both an executive producer and the series’ writer.
