Paula Hawkins heading on U.S. book tour -- exclusive

Posted on

Paula Hawkins, author of the runaway best-seller (and EW favorite) The Girl on The Train, is planning a rare U.S. visit to five lucky cities, EW announces exclusively. Readers of The Girl on the Train, which has sold an incredible 3 million copies (in the U.S. alone), will have a chance to win a special pre-event meet and greet with Hawkins to ask all of their burning questions about the book. Check out the list of cities below to see if Hawkins is coming to a location near you!

It’s not just the folks in your book club who were up all night reading The Girl on The Train — the psychological thriller has captured the minds of celebrities like George R.R. Martin, Stephen King, Mindy Kaling, Jennifer Aniston, and Reese Witherspoon. The book spent 20 weeks at #1 on the New York Times best-seller list, staying on the list for a total of 34 weeks, and breaking records in the U.K. as well.

Dreamworks is adapting the book to film, with Emily Blunt, Rebecca Ferguson, and Haley Bennett attached to star, and Tate Taylor directing. The role of Tom has yet to be cast, but we have some theories (or dreams!) here.
