Ellen Page got a little help from one of her friends when it came to celebrating the premiere of Freeheld at the Toronto International Film Festival on Sunday night.

Orange is the New Black breakout star Ruby Rose was on hand for the occasion, and posted photos of the pair on Instagram telling fans how proud she is of her pal.

“When your best friend is the most talented, funny, beautiful, generous, humble human being it’s hard to not smile until it hurts,” she captioned one shapshot. “Ellen, I am so proud of you and will always be grateful for everything you are and will always be to me.”

Rose also posted two more, including one commenting on their matching outfits (also pictured: Samantha Thomas, Page’s girlfriend).

Freeheld, out Oct. 2, stars Page as mechanic Stacie Andree, who fought for domestic partner rights in New Jersey after her police detective partner, Laurel Hester (Julianne Moore), was diagnosed with terminal cancer. Page has said her work on the film inspired her to come out as a lesbian in 2014.

You can see a clip from the film below.
