Selena Gomez’s “Good for You” embraced the slow and sultry, but her most recent track — “Same Old Love,” which the singer released Thursday — ups the tempo a bit and features vocals from Charli XCX, who co-wrote the song.
“Same Old Love” is the second song Gomez has released off her upcoming Revival, the follow-up to 2013’s Stars Dance, and showcases Gomez’s voice — one that she didn’t become comfortable with until recently.
“I was always insecure with my speaking voice because it’s so low,” she told EW in August. “I didn’t know it would be such an asset to who I am now, though. It adds a cool, personal quality. It’s exciting.”
