'Big Brother': Meg on her biggest mistake and that drunken night with Clay

She has a million-dollar smile, but not the half-million dollar check that goes along with winning Big Brother. Meg Maley was evicted on Thursday from the house after Vanessa, Steve, and Johnny declined to break up the twins — Julie Chen has some strong feelings on that move, which you can read here — but we were able to catch “Grandma” on the way to the jury house with a few burning questions about her stay.

ENTERTAINMENT WEEKLY: What was your biggest mistake in this game, Meg?

MEG MALEY: My biggest mistake in this game was allowing people to know how much I cared for my friends in the house. Do I regret this? No. One of the reasons why I feel I was evicted was because my friendship with James was so strong that it surpassed the game. A lot of people in the house constantly feel alone and I was super thankful to have people I could count on. Game-wise, it’s definitely better to not have strong ties with the other houseguests.

Most 20-something women would not take too kindly to being called Grandma. What are your thoughts on your Big Brother nickname?

Hahahahaha! Well, I like to think of it as “everyone loves their grandma” so how could I take offense to that? At least they were calling me grandma to my face and not behind my back. Also, shout out to MY grandma!

You had some, um, difficulty, in the challenges this season. Did you try to use that to your advantage and get people to keep you in the house since you weren’t a big threat to win competitions?

Well, clearly since I wasn’t able to win competitions I had to take it as some sort of a positive to not be seen as a threat in the house. I know you all don’t believe, but I actually DID try to win competitions!! What a fail! Haha!

We saw you after a few drinks have a very tender moment with Clay one night before he was voted out. Were you hoping for a love connection there?

I love my boy Clay – I quickly bonded with him at the beginning of the game and have always seen him as one of my dudes. Sorry, you’re just a little too pretty boy for me!

Things can certainly change between now and the end of the season, but at this point who has played the best game in the house?

I think Austin played the best game in the house so far. He’s playing a very secretive, strategic game. He doesn’t make big waves but definitely has a say in what happens every week.

Who are you most and least looking forward to seeing in the jury house?

I cannot wait to see my girl Jackie! I’m really looking forward to seeing all of the girls – but Shelli would be the only person that I would hope isn’t still holding a grudge. I’m ready for some girl’s night and gossip!

Who are you hoping walks in the jury house after you from the double eviction?

No surprise here, I hope to see Vanessa! And I hope it’s James who did the doing!
