The Vision: See Paul Bettany assemble the synthetic Avenger

Posted on

It’s ironic he was called The Vision, since the synthetic hero was kept mostly out of sight until Avengers: Age of Ultron hit theaters.

Now that the Marvel movie has its in-home release beginning soon, we’re getting closer look at the work that went into creating Paul Bettany’s man-made (with a little help from a lightning god and a killer robot) super-being.

In this exclusive clip, Bettany — who previously voiced J.A.R.V.I.S., Iron Man’s unseen artificial intelligence assistant — explains his initial reaction to the purplish skin and robotic balaclava.*

Basically, it was: Cool!

Until they had to figure out how to make it work so he could still, like, hear and such. See for yourself …

Avengers: Age of Ultron will be available as a 3-D Blu-ray combo pack, regular Blu-ray disk, DVD, and on-demand on Oct. 2, but those hoping to see it again earlier can find it on Sept. 8 on Digital HD and 3-D.

*(Remember this for next week’s vocabulary test, kids.)
