There’s been a shift change on Chicago Med. Andrew Schneider and Diane Frolov have signed on as showrunners of the NBC medical drama.

The duo replace Andrew Dettmann on the freshman show spun off from uber-producer Dick Wolf’s Chicago Fire and Chicago P.D. The series will chronicle the day-to-day chaos of a Windy City hospital and the lives of the doctors who hold it together.

Dettmann will continue to develop projects with NBC and Universal TV.

Schneider and Frolov, who are husband and wife, most recently served as co-executive producers on HBO’s Boardwalk Empire and consulting producers on Amazon’s Bosch. Their other credits include The Sopranos, Northern Exposure, and Easy Money.

The Chicago Med cast includes Oliver Platt, S. Epatha Merkerson, Nick Gehlfuss, Yaya DaCosta, Colin Donnell, Brian Tee, Rachel DiPillo, and Torrey DeVitto. The series premieres Nov. 17.
