Congratulations are in order for Tracy Morgan and Megan Wollover. The longtime couple were married on Sunday night, PEOPLE reports, during an “intimate ceremony” that comes 14 months after Morgan survived a car accident that left his close friend dead.
“After almost losing Tracy last year, I am so grateful to finally be married to the love of my life,” Wollover told PEOPLE.
Morgan was severely injured in the June 2014 accident, which happened on the New Jersey Turnpike when a Walmart truck crashed into the limousine van that was driving the comedian and his friends. Earlier this month, National Transportation Safety Board cited driver fatigue as one of the cause of the accident; the truck’s driver, Kevin Roper, had not slept in 28 hours. (Morgan had previously settled his lawsuit against Walmart.)
But Morgan’s recovery has been steadily documented over the last few months. He appeared on the TODAY show in June for his first post-accident interview, celebrated his daughter’s birthday at Disney in July, and was announced as one of the first three hosts for this season of Saturday Night Live last week.
