Former Subway spokesman Jared Fogle is expected to plead guilty to federal charges of having sex with minors and possessing and distributing child pornography, according to documents People obtained Wednesday.
An FBI spokeswoman told People that the 37-year-old is in custody. Fogle has agreed to accept the plea deal, People reports, and will therefore avoid a trial.
The FBI raided Fogle’s Indiana home in July, two months after Russell Taylor, the former head of Fogle’s non-profit foundation was charged with possession and distribution of child pornography. Subway suspended its relationship with Fogle, who had claimed he lost weight on a diet of Subway sandwiches, after the raid. Late Tuesday, the company tweeted that it no longer had a relationship with Fogle.
In addition, Fogle’s wife Katie released a statement on Wednesday saying that she was in the “process of seeking a dissolution of the marriage.”
