Alice Through the Looking Glass: See the first posters

Posted on

Disney

Curiouser and curiouser! Disney has released the first teaser posters for its upcoming Alice Through the Looking Glass, a sequel to 2010’s Alice in Wonderland.

The two posters, posted to the Walt Disney Studios’ Facebook, depict the same scene featuring two different characters. One features Alice (presumably it’s Alice; she’s blonde, at least), standing at the end of a trail of clocks, floating on and sticking out of a body of water like a path of rocks. The other poster is a picture of the Mad Hatter standing at the same spot, but with his back to the viewer.

Johnny Depp is returning in his role as the latter character, and Mia Wasikowska, Helena Bonham Carter, and Anne Hathaway are all returning as Alice, the Red Queen, and the White Queen, respectively. Rhys Ifans and Sacha Baron Cohen have also joined the cast.

Alice in Wonderland director Tim Burton is on board as a producer, and Muppets Most Wanted’s James Bobin will direct this time around from a script by Linda Woolverton.

Alice Through the Looking Glass hits theaters May 27, 2016.
