Bryan Cranston says Sneaky Pete is Breaking Bad in reverse

Posted on

In Sneaky Pete — the upcoming Amazon pilot — Giovanni Ribisi plays a con man who steals his cellmate’s identity when he’s released from prison. It’s an idea that Bryan Cranston, who created the show with David Shore (House), says originated from his last Emmy speech for Breaking Bad.

In an exclusive behind-the-scenes interview for the show, Cranston explains how the idea came to be and how the show is “Breaking Bad in reverse.”

If you have a question for the Sneaky Pete team, EW’s Keith Staskiewicz will be hosting a live Q&A Monday at 11:30 p.m. ET following a screening of the pilot, which we will be live-streaming via Periscope. Fans can submit questions for creators Bryan Cranston and David Shore, along with star Giovanni Ribisi, using #AskSneakyPete — be sure to keep an eye on EW’s Twitter for all the action.
