Showtime will no longer be receiving Therapy from Lisa Kudrow.
At the TCA Summer Press Tour in Beverly Hills, Showtime Networks president David Nevins confirmed to reporters that Kudrow’s comedy Web Therapy would not be renewed for a fifth season.
The show — which is an outgrowth of the webseries that features the Friends alum as a narcissistic therapist who advises patients over the Internet — concluded its fourth season in January. The series attracted few viewers but nabbed some big-name guest stars along the way, including Gwyneth Paltrow, Steve Carell, Jon Hamm, Julia Louis-Dreyfus, and Conan O’Brien, plus Kudrow’s former Friends co-stars Courteney Cox, Matt LeBlanc, Matthew Perry, and David Schwimmer.
Kudrow, who voices an owl in season 2 of Netflix animated series Bojack Horseman, received an Emmy nomination last month for her starring role in the revival of HBO comedy The Comeback.
