Former Bachelorette star Andi Dorfman says she’s writing about her split from Josh Murray for a new book.

“It is basically a tongue-in-cheek diary of my breakup but it’s also kind of like the anti self-help book,” the former Atlanta assistant district attorney, who now lives in New York, told PEOPLE on Thursday. “I went through a very public breakup but it was also extremely private.

The book, titled It’s Not Okay (a play on what Juan Pablo Galavais told her, repeatedly, when she was a contestant on his season of The Bachelor), will reportedly come out next spring.

Dorfman got engaged to Murray on season 10 of The Bachelorette in 2014, and the two called it quits in January of this year.

“I didn’t share a lot of stuff and I feel like we, as women, don’t share a lot of bad emotions that are associated with breakups and this book kind of defies that,” she said. “It’s like, you know what? I did it. I did every good, bad, ugly, sad, crazy, psychotic thing that women do. I’m like, here it is — we all do it. I am proof that we all do it.”

For more from Dorfman, including whether or not she’ll ever go on dating apps, you can read her full interview at PEOPLE.
