Stars have mourned the killing of Cecil the lion by combining their rememberances with condemnation of the hunter. But the touching tribute above only focuses on Cecil and what he represented.

Aaron Blaise, who was an animator on Disney projects such as The Lion King, Beauty and the Beast, and Aladdin shared a blog post on Friday with his own rendition of Cecil. It resembles Mufasa and his final resting place in the stars, accompanied with his words: “Look at the stars. The great kings from the past look down upon us from those stars.”

“I am a HUGE animal lover an it drives me crazy when I see these beautiful creatures destroyed for no good reason,” Blaise writes on his blog. “When I heard the news about Cecil I got inspired to create a tribute image. It’s not much but hopefully it will make people think.”
