The CW is bringing back Jane the Virgin and Crazy Ex-Girlfriend a little earlier this fall. Both shows will premiere a week early, on Monday, Oct. 12, instead of Oct. 19.
Crazy Ex-Girlfriend — which stars Rachel Bloom as a lawyer who quits her job and moves across the country in search of love — will air at 8 p.m., followed by Jane at 9 p.m.
Jane the Virgin stars Gina Rodriguez as the titular Jane, a virgin who becomes a mother after her gynecologist accidentally artificially inseminates her with the sperm of a playboy named Rafael. In addition to winning a Peabody Award and a Golden Globe for Rodriguez, the show’s also a frontrunner in EW’s EWwy Awards, dedicated to Emmy-snubbed shows. (Jane the Virgin only got one Emmy nod this year, for voiceover artist Anthony Mendez.)
EWwy voting is open until Aug. 7, and the winners will be announced on Aug. 11.
