Speculation has swirled for years — literally — that a sequel to the 1996 classic Space Jam could be in the works with LeBron James filling the basketball star role previously played by Michael Jordan. Now the star has weighed in on the possibility.
During a Twitter Q&A Tuesday evening, a user asked James if he was doing Space Jam 2, to which he responded “Maybe…….Guess we’ll just have to wait and see. #LooneyToonsRock”
The idea of James starring in Space Jam 2 has recently gotten more plausible thanks to his show-stealing role in Trainwreck and a deal he recently inked with Warner Bros. to develop TV shows and movies.
