NBC's 'The Player' adds comedian Dustin Ybarra as tech genius Donovan Lewis

Actor and comedian Dustin Ybarra will appear in a recurring role on NBC’s new fall thriller The Player, EW has confirmed.

Set in Las Vegas, The Player stars Wesley Snipes as Mr. Johnson, a pit boss of an action-packed, high stakes game where an organization of wealthy individuals gamble on whether Alex Kane (Philip Winchester), a former military operative turned security expert, can stop deadly crimes before they occur.

Ybarra will play Donovan Lewis, a tech genius whose expertise comes in handy for Alex when it comes to “off the radar” missions. Though he’s a fast-talking master at decoding practically anything, Donovan can be a little too wired — in both senses of the word.

The series from The Blacklist executive producers John Davis and John Fox will premiere Thursday, Sept. 24 at 10 p.m. ET.
