Penn and Teller remember a really awkward run-in with a famous fan

Penn Jillette and Teller make it a point to meet up with fans after each performance, and with their careers spanning several decades, that means countless photos, signatures, and hugs. But it was during one such occasion that the duo received an odd request from a famous admirer – and it’s something they’ve never forgotten.

For EW’s Greatest Story Ever Told video series, Penn recalls an interaction with the legendary Leonard Bernstein after an off-Broadway performance – only, the magician didn’t exactly recognize Bernstein, which led to some slight confusion.
