Will Peggy Carter be tempted by the bright lights of Hollywood? We hope to get some answers on that and more during the Agent Carter panel at Comic-Con on Friday. To prepare for the big event, EW is here to give you a refresher on where the ABC super series left off:
Where we left off: The mind-controlling Johann Fennhoff, a.k.a. Dr. Faustus, intended to make Howard Stark (Dominic Cooper) pay for his sins by tricking him into dropping what amounts to a rage gas on New York City. But Peggy (Hayley Atwell) was fortunately able to talk Stark down moments after facing off against Black Widow Dottie (Bridget Regan), who ended up escaping in the ensuing chaos. Dr. Faustus, meanwhile, was locked up with his new cellmate, Dr. Arnim Zola (Toby Jones). Oh, and Peggy got to finally say goodbye to Steve Rogers (Chris Evans) by pouring the last of his super blood over the Brooklyn Bridge.
What we know about season 2: Peggy Carter is heading to Hollywood thanks to a case that falls under the SSR’s purview — though the organization is facing changes now that the war has come to an end. While Peggy finally has the respect of her colleagues, she’ll be facing bigger threats in the new season (some of which fans may recognize from the comics). Carter will also be joined by Jarvis (James D’Arcy), Agent Sousa (Enver Gjokaj) and Agent Jack Thompson (Chad Michael Murray)—sources say deals for Lyndsy Fonseca and Bridget Regan are forthcoming. Get more scoop here, here and here.
