Masterminds release date pushed back to October

Jared Hess’ Mastermindsstarring Zach Galifianakis and Kristen Wiig, was set to open in August, but the studio announced Thursday that the action comedy will now be released in October.

Masterminds is based on a real-life 1997 bank robbery and features Galifianakis as an armored vehicle driver who leads a boring life — that is, until Wiig’s character persuades him to get in on her heist. 

Owen Wilson, Ken Marino, and Jason Sudeikis also star in the movie, which arrives in theaters Oct. 9.
