Wednesday, TMZ published a video of Ariana Grande licking donuts in California’s Wolfee Donuts store—and now the police are investigating said video, the Associated Press reports.

According to the AP, police in Lake Elsinore—the city where Wolfee Donuts is located—and Riverside County public health officials are working together on the investigation. (The police department could not be immediately reached for more details.)

Grande came under fire Wednesday partly because she can be heard saying “I hate Americans, I hate America” when an employee puts a tray of baked goods before her in the video. Grande responded to the backlash by issuing a statement that same day, saying she’s “EXTREMELY proud to be an American.”

“As an advocate for healthy eating, food is very important to me and I sometimes get upset by how freely we as Americans eat and consume things without giving any thought to the consequences that it has on our health and society as a whole,” she said. “The fact that the United States has one of the highest child obesity rates in the world frustrates me.” Read her full statement here.
