Jon Stewart has never been shy about belting out a few notes on The Daily Show, even if those notes weren’t exactly on key. And with only a few weeks left before his time at the Daily Show desk is over, it’s time to take a look back at what the host’s dulcet tones have delivered over the years.

Stewart had a little help on last night’s Daily Show for that retrospective, as the night’s guest, Jon Hamm, came out to honor the host.

“It’s like Bette Midler, Barbara Streisand, and Luciano Pavaraoti had a threesome and then gave birth to the perfect set of vocal chords,” Hamm said.

And with 16 years of warming up his pipes, maybe Stewart has been preparing Daily Show fans for his one-man musical on Broadway all this time.
