New Walking Dead season 6 art suggests a face-off brewing in Alexandria

We’ve got our first look at season 6 of The Walking Dead and it comes in the form of newly-released art for the zombie drama’s upcoming San Diego Comic-Con appearance in July.

The art above suggests an impending face-off between the recently reunited Rick and Morgan, with citizens of the walled-off community lining up on both sides. We see the more hardline Daryl, Glenn, Maggie, Sasha and others behind Rick, while Jessie, Gabriel, Aaron, Deanna and her son are on the other side behind Morgan.

Whether this is where they will actually end up or not remains open to question. After all, Aaron has appeared to be a supporter so far of his new recruits. But either way, it appears that Rick’s big speech at the end of season 5 did not unite the town. Of course, the fact that he shot Jessie’s husband in the face right after might have something to do with that. It also implies that hardboiled Rick and now zen-like Morgan may indeed come into conflict over the proper rules of engagement in the zombie apocalypse. On the plus side, no Wolves to be seen here!
