Sony’s female-focused 21 Jump Street project has hired another pair of female writers. EW can confirm that Lizzie and Wendy Molyneux, sisters who are currently writers on Fox’s Bob’s Burgers, have been brought on by Sony after pitching for the film. As The Hollywood Reporter first reported, the Molyneuxs will be writing one script, while the Broad City writers previously hired for the project, will be simultaneously developing a second script.
Little else is known about what the project will and won’t have in common with the current Jump Street franchise starring Channing Tatum and Jonah Hill. EW previously reported that producer Neal Moritz and directors Chris Miller and Phil Lord will be involved to help guide this new take on the franchise.
