Vanity Fair released its July cover on Monday: Caitlyn Jenner, formerly known as Bruce Jenner.

“This shoot was about my life and who I am as a person. It’s not about the fanfare, it’s not about people cheering in the stadium, it’s not about going down the street and everybody giving you ‘that a boy, Bruce,’ pat on the back, O.K. This is about your life,” Jenner told Vanity Fair writer Buzz Bissinger for the cover story.

As revealed in the magazine, Jenner underwent at a 10-hour “facial-feminization surgery” on March 15, but she has not had genital surgery.

In addition to the cover, Jenner also joined Twitter on Monday and posted for the first time.

The former Olympian came out as transgender in an interview with Diane Sawyer in April. “I’m emerging as myself. Isn’t that great?” Jenner said. “The female part of me is who I am. I identify as female, and that’s very hard for Bruce Jenner to say, because I don’t want to disappoint people.”

News that Jenner would appear on the cover of Vanity Fair leaked out on Friday. Watch video of Jenner during her cover shoot below.
