Back in 2008, New York dance-rockers The Virgins broke through with their swagger-filled single “Rich Girls,” going on to open for other leather-clad acts like Lou Reed and The Killers. They even put out their sophomore album, Strike Gently, on Strokes’ singer Julian Casablancas’ record label in 2013—but the band called it quits later that year.

Frontman Donald Cumming isn’t out of the game, though. He’ll return next month with his solo debut Out Calls Only, an album that goes beyond the aesthetic The Virgins epitomized without losing Cumming’s cool-kid chic.

Check out EW‘s exclusive premiere of the acoustic ballad “In The Early Hours” below and stay tuned for Out Calls Only, which hits shelves June 16.
