Comedy Central announces summer launch dates for Key & Peele, Why? with Hannibal Buress, and more

Comedy Central has announced its slate of summer premiere dates, featuring the returns of shows like Key & Peele and Drunk History as well as the premieres of several new shows.

First up will be Another Period, premiering on June 23 at 10:30 p.m. Period will focus on the Bellacourt sisters, Lillian (Natasha Leggero) and Beatrice (Riki Lindhome), who live spoiled lives obsessed with money and fame… at the turn of the 20th century. Michael Ian Black, Paget Brewster, David Koechner, and many others will appear throughout the series, created by Leggero and Lindhome.

The Meltdown with Jonah and Kumail will return for its second season on June 30 at 12:30 a.m. for an eight-episode run. Fred Armisen, Pete Holmes, Ron Funches, and more will appear alongside hosts Jonah Ray and Kumail Nanjiani.

Key & Peele comes back to Comedy Central on July 8 at 10 p.m. Why? With Hannibal Buress will launch right after Key & Peele at 10:30 p.m., featuring Buress in a mix of stand-up, filmed segments, and in-studio guest interviews.

July 30 will see the return of Andy Daly’s Review at 10 p.m., which comes back for its second season to follow the exploits of life reviewer Forrest MacNeil.

Toward the end of the summer, Tosh.0 will premiere new episodes beginning on Aug. 25 at 10 p.m., while Drunk History‘s third season debuts on Sept. 1 at 10:30 p.m.

Comedy Central has also slated a few origial stand-up specials for the summer. Nick Swardson: Taste It debuts on May 30, Jeff Ross Roasts Criminals: Live at Brazos County Jail premieres on June 13, and Bridget Everett and Natasha Leggero will both have stand-up specials with dates to be announced.
