Watch Louis C.K. get accused of stealing jokes in a cut SNL sketch

Posted on

Bruce Chandling returns! This time, Kyle Mooney’s failed comedian shows up (with his signature American flag jacket) to accuse Louis C.K. of joke theft in this cut Saturday Night Live sketch.

Mooney’s bizarre sketches don’t always make the live show, but it’s nice to see them live on as “digital exclusives.” While Bruce Chandling may be an acquired taste, his self-loathing and uncomfortable silences fit right in to C.K.’s brand of awkward comedy. We’d watch Louie & Bruce.

This comes just a week after SNL was accused of plagiarizing its “Draw Muhammad” sketch from Canadian news satire show This Hour Has 22 Minutes. While SNL hasn’t officially commented on the alleged plagiarism, it’s hard not to see this as the show dismissing the claims as ridiculous — as ridiculous as Louis C.K. hiding under tables with a notebook.
