Have you missed Lorde? Well, Lorde’s missed you! She posted a letter to fans on her Tumblr, explaining that the break she’s taken to enjoy “a bunch of swimming and diving around and being salty” (presumably the singer is referring to salty skin from swimming and not to her social media psuedo-fued with Diplo) is officially over. Now, she’s back in the studio working on a sophomore full-length.

“I’m just getting into making the next body of work, which is very exciting and scary but SO VALIDATING (i also went to a wild beautiful fashawwn ball last night which maybe i’ll elaborate on in another post),” Lorde wrote.

She also brought up a recent discussion between friends about which songs they would send into space (a pressing concern) to live on forever. Robyn’s “Dancing on My Own” was Lorde’s top choice. “This song, to me, is perfect. It’s happy and sad, fiery and independent but vulnerable and small, joyous even when a heart is breaking. Every line is perfect,” she wrote.

On that note, while we wait for new music from our favorite Kiwi, here’s Robyn’s 2010… can we say classic?
