Hulu considering Myst adaptation--report

Posted on

The island of Myst may be returning, but this time in television form.

Deadline reports that Hulu has commissioned a script for an adaptation of the Myst video game, which, if accepted, would reportedly cause the project to be given a series order. The project reportedly is being written by Evan Daugherty and produced by Matt Tolmach.

Myst was first released in 1993,allowing players to explore the titular island as the Stranger. The game would later see several sequels released, but the beloved original has endured since its debut thanks to rereleases on other platforms. Myst can even be played on current Android and iOS devices

Reports of a Myst TV adaptation first arose last year when Legendary Entertainment reportedly made a deal with the game’s creators to bring the popular game to life.

Hulu had no comment about the report.
