U2 was supposed to take over The Tonight Show for a weeklong residency. But it had to cancel in November after singer Bono seriously injured his arm in a bike accident. As recently as January, he thought he might not be able to play guitar ever again.

While he’s not fully there, he must be good enough to hit up late-night TV. The band will play on Jimmy Fallon’s show next Friday, May 8, via Billboard. It’ll be a nice warmup performance for the band  ahead of its imminent “Innocence and Experience” tour, which kicks off May 14 in Vancouver.
