Muse just dropped the music video for brooding single “Dead Inside” featuring a pair of very dusty—and supremely talented—modern dancers. The single, which debuted to the band’s YouTube page back in March, is off their seventh studio album, Drones.
In a recent press release, lead singer Matt Bellamy explained the inspiration behind the album title: “To me, ‘Drones’ are metaphorical psychopaths which enable psychopathic behavior with no recourse. The world is run by Drones utilizing Drones to turn us all into Drones. Drones explores the journey of a human, from their abandonment and loss of hope, to their indoctrination by the system to be a human drone, to their eventual defection from their oppressors.”
Drones is due out June 8, but it’s available for pre-download now.
