Former Baywatch star Jeremy Jackson was taken into police custody on Saturday in Westlake, Calif. for assault with a deadly weapon.
Jackson, who appeared on the ’90s series for eight seasons, is suspected of stabbing a man and then fleeing the scene. Los Angeles police told the Los Angeles Times they received a call on Friday that someone stabbed a man with a knife. The attacker left the scene before the police arrived, but the victim identified him as Jackson’s Baywatch character Hobie. The man, who suffered a stab wound in his left upper torso, was then taken to Los Angeles County-USC Medical Center.
Officers found Jackson roaming the neighborhood the next day and arrested him. Jackson was released the same day on bail, the Sheriff’s Department told the Times.
According to TMZ, Jackson was using self-defense after the man allegedly pulled a gun and tried to rob him at an Airbnb property he was renting for a party.
