Mac DeMarco announces mini-album, summer tour

Posted on

Robert Redfield

Don’t call it an EP. Indie rock goofball Mac DeMarco released a video today announcing a new eight-song “mini LP” titled Another One that’s due out Aug. 7. The four-minute video is a typically weird Mac production, following the musician as he jams on a variety of instruments in his messy Queens apartment (“You hear that s–t? That’s called ‘Mac piano,’ bitch”) and drives around New York making wisecracks (“It’s not bulls–t, I read it on Wikipedia”).

Another One follows last year’s Salad Days, one of our 10 best albums of 2014. Fans who pre-order the mini LP will also get instrumental versions of all eight songs. Check out DeMarco’s announcement below, along with his expanded tour schedule.
